I shoot Alyeska Resort Weddings fairly often. Every time I’m there I challenge myself to see this venue with fresh eyes. This was pretty easy to accomplish on Cailee & Joe’s wedding day because it poured rain for half of the day! Rain might have been a serious problem for some people but it wasn’t for these two! One of the best things about Cailee & Joe is how good natured and easy going they are. They may not have been feeling cool and calm on the inside, but on the outside they seemed to enjoy every moment. Why stress about things you have no control over?
Alyeska Resort proved to be the perfect venue for a rainy wedding day. The indoor options there are great, and there are plenty of covered areas for photos. Even though the top of the mountain was completely fogged in we decided to take the tram up as planned. I am so glad that everyone was up for it! That foggy, misty air brought such romance to the portraits. I thought these two looked like a couple of movie stars…
