Allison and Mike have been journeying this crazy road together for ten years! They decided to celebrate the milestone of ten years of marriage with a portrait session for just the two of them, and I love that so much! These two have three little boys. Allison is a photographer. Mike is in the military and about to be deployed (not the first time he’s been away during the past 10 years). I feel like I can easily put myself in their shoes because I know what it is like to be married with young kids when both of you are working.
I looked it up and, According to that weird old tradition the 10 year anniversary gift is ‘tin or aluminum’. Personally, I think a photo shoot is a much better way to go! I was so impressed that they were setting apart this time to celebrate *them* for a minute, to preserve some memories and have some nice photos to print and put on the wall! I’m sure that in some ways it felt a little odd to leave the boys at home and take photos of just the two of them, but I think doing things like this are so vital. Mike & Allison, happy ten years!!
