I am still swooning over the incredible beauty at Kincaid last week. On a clear night it is hard to beat the views from those sand dunes. I found myself exclaiming about how gorgeous the night was and how it ‘doesn’t even look like Alaska’ …at least for me, I don’t think of Anchorage beach engagement sessions as being all that common. When I think of Alaska I think of mountain tops and glaciers and lakes. I first came to Alaska 11 years ago. I’ve been living in Anchorage for nearly 6 years now. The beauty of this place still takes my breath away on the regular. The thing about this huge and gorgeous state is that it doesn’t just have one look. There are so many landscapes here, so many drop dead gorgeous types of beauty.
A PSA for those of you who might try to catch a sunset at Kincaid: Don’t forget that you have to hike back up to the parking lot before they close the gate! The gate closed at 11pm on the night we were there so we didn’t quite catch the last rays.
