I felt an instant kinship with Matt & Liliia, and I get the sense that a lot of people feel similarly when they meet these two. Matt & Liliia are this magnetic type of couple that carry an infectious sense of joy and light. I absolutely loved being a part of this elopement and wish that I could have sat down with these two longer to hear more of their story. Something unique that stuck with me was that Matt proposed to Liliia before they were even dating! He must have known that they were meant to be together. Her answer was “Take me on 1000 dates and then I’ll marry you.” The second time Matt proposed, the answer was yes. Girdwood elopement photographer
Matt & Liliia work with orphans in Ukraine, where Liliia is from. Hearing a little bit about what they do and their passion and heart for people just endeared them to me. I don’t know how everything is going for them today but it is my hope that they are still strong in their work and in their new marriage! Maybe our paths will cross again one day. Matt & Liliia had a dream that they would be married next to a river in Alaska and I’m so glad that we were able to make that dream a reality.
