I love the stark contrast between Alaska Summer and Alaska Winter engagement sessions. We are 2 days away from the Winter Solstice and it definitely feels like the heart of Winter to me. I’m trying to soak in the cozy romance of the snow and enjoy the ice-falls as a backdrop, but I have to admit that I will be so happy to watch the sun regains it’s strength over the next few months.
Alexis & Junyor grew up in Nome, Alaska and are currently both students at UAA. I’ve had the opportunity to get to know them a little bit over the past couple of years, which made it extra fun to go out and shoot their engagement photos last week. Alexis really wanted some classic Alaska winter engagement photos in the snow. We followed the forecast to the area with the highest chance of snowflakes, and although we didn’t get them we definitely found a winter wonderland along the Turnagain Arm.alaska winter engagement photos on turnagain arm romantic alaska winter engagement photos in the snow romantic alaska winter engagement photos in anchorage alaska winter engagement photos with snowy trees alaska winter engagement photos with snowy trees alaska winter engagement photos by erica rose alaska winter engagement photos walking in the snow snowy alaska winter engagement photos alaska winter engagement photos by a frozen waterfall alaska winter engagement photos on turnagain arm
