There is a pretty great story that goes along with this shoot. Let me tell you…

SO. It’s Saturday morning and I arrive at Sherry and Seth’s condo. Its a gated community so I pull up to the gate and talk to the security guard via intercom…they tell me I need a parking pass. So I pull over to stop by the fence and call Sherry to tell her that I’m there, but need a pass.  She says not to worry…they’ll be down in just a minute and will help me get into the gate….(this is where the action starts). I open my car door and stand outside of the car (between the door and the car) to wait so that Seth and Sherry will see me right away.
While I’m on the phone with Sherry, a black SUV pulls into the lot to drop someone off. After the woman walks towards the gate, the driver pulls forward and then starts to back up STRAIGHT IN TO ME! He hit the door of my car, slamming it shut and squishing me between the door and the car!!! I screamed…I’m not normally a ‘screamer’, but what came out of me was definitely a scream. It was at that point when he realized that there was something behind him…and he stopped.
To keep this short, I’ll just say this. Sherry and Seth are wonderful! So is their door man. They helped me get through this mini-crisis of mine (I was a little shaken up…but apart from a few bruises and a sprained elbow, I walked away unscathed).

Obviously, we did end up doing the engagement shoot that day – we just started a little late! I think the photos came out beautifully, despite  the strange circumstances. Oh, my life. This WOULD happen to me!
