Here’s a fun fact – Jacob is Canadian too! I love meeting fellow Canadians, it makes me feel really connected…although, he is from the eastern half, and I am as West as can be…
For those of you who don’t know, I was born in Surrey BC (just outside of Vancouver) and lived there for most of my life. I was blessed to be able to claim dual citizenship status because my mom is still an American citizen, even though she’s lived in Canada longer than she ever lived in the States. SO it made coming here for school and working here, marrying an American, etc. all that much simpler! Dual citizenship really means that I am American when I’m here, Canadian when I’m at home…so I have more than one passport – like a secret agent.
