Dana is the designer of Killion – a line of contemporary women’s clothing. Definitely something to check out, stylish yet wear-able clothing for women. She needed new photos to use in a press kit for an event in New York next month…the event is for women business owners, and is an opportunity to network and make some really great connections.
Hello! Gorgeous, right? Who do you think she looks like? This came to me at the end of the shoot…..Michelle Pfeiffer – am I right?!Notice all the great art? Dana is the artist of some of it…this is one talented woman. We talked about encaustic painting (which I am currently enrolled in at the Lill Street Art Center) I think she would love it, since she seems to really enjoy texture. I might share some pictures of my work from the class…we’ll have to see how it goes! Also, in case it didn’t come through enough in these photos…Dana’s loft in the West Loop of Chicago is to die for. SO beautiful, I came home and told Jamie that if I ever have a studio it will look exactly like Dana’s home.

Thanks so much Judith! I’m glad you like them…I certainly loved photographing Dana, she is a natural in front of the camera and her creativity comes through so well.
I used the one you have above leaning against the kitchen counter and one of the shots in that teal chair. I may swap them around the next time I need a few more kits though.
these are amazing…just beautiful…
I know Dana and these photos are just stunning of her. They capture her beauty, creativity, playfulness and warmth- all together. Yes I’m a fan of Dana’s and now a fan of yours! I love them.
I’m glad I was able to help put you at ease…you seemed like a natural! I’ve been curious about which one(s) you were able to use for the press kit?
Thanks Erica for the compliments but more importantly for the great photos! You made it really easy for me to be in front of the camera, something that normally isn’t on the top of my to-do list. Hope you’re well.
