Stephen and Kirstin are both alumni of the same school that I attended in Chicago – North Park University I only attended for 2 years, because I transferred there from a school in Vancouver, BC but the 2 years I spent at NPU were great. Randomly, Kirstin and I were friends with sisters who also went to North Park, and we ended up road tripping to Minnesota together for Thanksgiving of my junior year…so it was a pleasant surprise when about 8 months ago I got an email from Kirstin asking if I was available to shoot her wedding!
These two were so great to work with, and it was an especially fun shoot because I was so familiar with the locations where we were shooting – we did the couple and wedding party poses at the North Park campus (which is beautiful!) and the church was North Park Covenant Church, right down the street!
I am always a sucker for the dress shot…it just gives me goosebumps, something big is about to happen when you take this shot.
North Park Cov is a beautiful old church and I have attended there a few times, so it was fun to shoot my first wedding there.Adorable.
These two were just so dang cute! I love this shot.Loovvvveee these ones too (there are a few, I put another one on the blog earlier in the week)The wedding cake was Kransekake or ‘Ring Cake’ a Norwegian wedding cake…and it was SO good. Its made with almond paste, and has a great chewy-cookie(ish) texture (sorry, my description isn’t doing it justice, but trust me it is GOOD).Kirstin and Stephen – thanks so much for allowing me the privilege of being a part of your day! It was wonderful.
