I knew immediately upon meeting Courtney that I was going to love capturing her and Fil’s wedding day. She was sweet and kind, gushed about her nieces and nephews and described in detail her beautiful, flowy wedding gown and how excited she was to move to Colorado and start her new married life with Fil!
Turns out I was right. I absolutely loved everything about Fil & Courtney’s wedding, and every detail was hand picked by Courtney and her mom. It was simply stunning – timeless beauty at its best! I’m going to call this post a ‘preview’ rather than a sneak peek because really, really…there are WAY too many photos in here for it to be called anything close to a ‘peek’. I couldn’t narrow it down any more than I did, I just couldn’t!
This may sound strange, but I love a cohesive wedding. One where the dress ‘goes’ with the venue, the decor and even the music played match the feel that you want your day to reflect. This was a very cohesive wedding, and I think that Courtney’s dress describes the feel of the day, timeless…romantic.
The beautiful bride!
The fall colors were amazing on the grounds of the Armour House and it could not have been a more beautiful day!Fil & Courtney opted to see each other before the ceremony. I thought it was a great decision, it made the day flow smoothly and they were still able to have a special moment for just the two of them to see each other for the first time. These two looked like they came right out of a magazine! Gorgeous couple.I took SO many photos of Courtney, couldn’t help it! She is a natural beauty and was just radiant on her wedding day!The florist Courtney chose was Signature Creations and everything was SO perfect, Jean and her team did a beautiful job on every detail.Ummm…love!! I love these next four shots a lot. The light was amazing and Fil & Courtney were in the photo-groove…
This next one I feel is a little different than what I normally post, but I think Courtney is beautiful (and glowing) in it, so I wanted to share.
The Armour House reminded me of scenes from the new Pride and Prejudice, a lake, a stone arch with with a fountain, a mansion in the background set on rolling green lawns – it was picture perfect.
Married!
See what I mean about cohesive? It all just flowed together so well! The DJ for the evening was David of Music By Design – we’ve worked together before and he is great! What pushed him to the top of the list for me this time was that before the ceremony he made a Starbucks run and picked me up a Venti Iced Black Tea Lemonade…and handed it over right after we finished the wedding party and couple shots! It was 80 degrees, I’d been on the run for a few hours already, and that ice cold caffeine was just what I needed. Thank you David for your thoughtfulness. It is so great working alongside people like that.Congratulations to you Fil & Courtney, I hope you had a relaxing week soaking up the Cabo sun! Thanks again for having me shoot your wedding, it was my pleasure to be a part of your beautiful day.
