Last week I had the pleasure of shooting a downtown Chicago engagement session with Sam & Amanda…even though they no longer live there, the city where they met and got engaged was obviously the best place to capture these portraits. I love that these two made a mini getaway out of their session by taking time off work, driving into the city and spending a night in a hotel (they even squeezed in their favorite deep dish for dinner after the shoot!). That is the way to make the experience of engagement photos into a memory that they won’t quickly forget. We headed to a couple of iconic Chicago locations for their shoot, beginning with Fourth Pres. and then heading to North Avenue beach for a little fishing in the sunset.
