I’ve tried to write something for this blog post several times now, and nothing I come up with really does justice to this wedding or the two people who were married in it! Truly, I am blown away. On the one day of their lives that they have every reason to be a little selfish…Mike & Marissa brought caring for others to a whole new level. How do two people manage to be so sweet and so fun at the same time? Are you two even for real?!
River Roast Chicago was the perfect venue for Mike & Marissa’s stylish wedding, and every single detail was flawless. The sequins bridesmaids dresses were stunning, guests sipped cocktails and craft beer on the river walk, in lieu of wedding cake banana cream pudding from Magnolia Bakery was served for dessert, and some of my personal favorites: the moms who teamed up for the dance-toast of the century, the best man/officiant who did an amazing job…the heartfelt vows…AND they played an epic round of the shoe game! When people choose to let their personality shine through the details on their wedding day, it makes for a meaningful and unique celebration that will not soon be forgotten.
Mike & Marissa, I hope you know how honored I feel to have been a part of your wedding day! Maybe this preview will help ease you back in to post-honeymoon life! There are so many more that I can’t wait to share.
