Maternity portrait sessions are not something that I have always done. In fact, I pretty much refused to do them until about two years ago after my son Levi was born. I don’t really know why, probably something to do with not understanding the whole process of pregnancy and birth firsthand. For similar reasons I decided not to have any photos taken of myself while pregnant with Levi, which is something that I have come to truly regret! Now these shoots are something that I treasure and look forward to, I love being able to capture this amazing time and help the mommas-to-be to feel especially beautiful.
All that to say, I was thrilled when Tori approached me about Fall Maternity Photos in Anchorage and even though this past several weeks have been the busiest of my year I definitely wanted to fit them in! We lucked out with some perfectly crisp fall weather and some bright leaves hanging on around Potter Marsh for Tori & Spencer’s shoot. I’m very excited to photograph baby Hyatt just weeks from now, shortly after he arrives!
