A year and a half or so ago, I had the opportunity to photograph Matthew & Alexis in Vancouver…it was a just-for-fun kind of couple session, and after that I was pretty sure that these two were going to be getting married someday. Alexis and I were great friends during high school and she is one of those people that brings life & energy wherever she goes. She is a complete goofball…and Matthew is right there with her. For this and countless other reasons it is so evident that these two are right for each other. Since that first photo shoot with them I’ve been hoping that one day I might get to photograph their wedding! Needless to say, I was thrilled when Alexis emailed me about their Vancouver wedding at Brix Restaurant {which would turn out to be my final wedding of 2014}. I could not have hoped for a better way to end my wedding season. I genuinely enjoyed myself the entire day, had the opportunity to reconnect with old friends, and witnessed the happiest exchange of vows I’ve ever seen.
