It is pretty rare that a bride or groom will include any vendors in their speech. It isn’t expected by any means so when it happens it really strikes a chord. When Melissa took the time during their speech to thank me for making the experience of being photographed enjoyable, it was one of the best compliments I have ever received as a professional. I knew going in to this day that being photographed was not something that these two were particularly excited about, so for me to hear that they might have actually enjoyed it (a little!) was actually a thrill for me! I love making people feel beautiful, and I hope that these two felt that way in front of my lens.
This wedding had such a great vibe. I think that when you plan a Raven Glacier Lodge Wedding, it is because intimate and warm is what you’re going for, and Leif & Melissa’s day was incredibly so. When you walk in to the kitchen of the Lodge to smell bread baking and meat slow roasting in preparation for the feast (as the owner likes to call it!) it just feels like home.
