The more I see of this amazing state, the more I want to see. This quintessentially Alaskan wilderness wedding took me to a new spot on the other side of Sleeping Lady on Beluga Lake. Small planes open up the adventure possibilities in our gigantic state in a way that nothing else can. As we were flying nice and low, I was picking out tiny cabins and hunting/fishing/touring lodges tucked in here and there…in their own little piece of incredible beauty. Such a dream!
Sarah & Erick chartered a couple of float planes through Sportsman’s Air Service, and reserved their two tiny cabins and wall tent on Beluga Lake for an intimate wedding in the middle of the wilderness, with just 12 guests. Immediately after the ceremony, before I realized what was happening {barely seconds after the champagne was popped} everyone had changed into comfy clothes, the grill had been fired up and they were all settling in to camp for the night in this beautiful place. Sounds pretty perfect, right? Even more perfect is that they chose me to be their Beluga Lake Wedding Photographer. Follow the incredible story in photos:
