I have a pretty unique view of weddings compared to most others on a wedding day. I often work with my couples for more than a year before the actual wedding day. We go back and forth planning logistics and timelines. I hear about the decor and their vision for the day. We shoot engagement photos…and more. On the wedding day I’m with the couple and their family and friends for almost every minute on one one of the most important days of their lives. It’s a big deal, you guys! This is one of the reasons why I tell everyone to hire a wedding photographer that you trust, but also like.
It is truly an honor to be invited in to any wedding. I felt especially honored as I got to know Breanna & Arlin and how this wedding would be such a labor of love for them, and how highly they value photography. Breanna, you did an amazing job with this wedding…to have planned such a detailed, thoughtful, extravagant party (almost) all by yourself is no small task and you pulled it off so well! alaska backyard wedding photos
Hands down my favorite moments of this day were at the very end when I got to steal the bride and groom away for some more photos at a nearby lake. It was serene, and I felt like a switch flipped when I watched these two look into each other’s eyes and just…be. It sounds like a cliche but in this case you can clearly see that Breanna & Arlin are the best of friends and I can’t imagine a better foundation than that to build their marriage on. Congratulations, you two! Many blessings on your marriage.
