So…how amazing is The Inn at Tern Lake? Right?! It is just absolutely stunning. Tucked back against the mountains with little streams running through the backyard, the whole thing is pretty idyllic. All of that wasn’t the main reason why I was looking forward to this wedding all year long, however. It was definitely about Morgan & Galen and just how much I love working with these two!
I remember talking with Morgan & Galen early this year when they were in the process of finding the right photographer. I could instantly tell that they would be so much fun and that their aesthetic was thoughtful & creative. Also, clearly they are a gorgeous couple – which never hurts! For me, the cherry on top was the fact that these two (especially Galen and couple of other partners) were in the early stages of launching a new business in Anchorage, Double Shovel Cider Company. I tend to take on this (admittedly) strange feeling of pride about other people’s local businesses, and just want to do whatever I can to support them. Entrepreneurship is no easy task! Just sayin’ {Speaking of which, their cider is on tap at lots of places in Alaska these days…so look for it! I tried their dry cider at the wedding, and its so so delish.} All that to say, I was thrilled when they chose me as the one to document their wedding day.
Morgan & Galen, your wedding was everything. Some of my favorite parts: #hollythebrittany. Your first dance. Morgan’s dad crying during the toasts. The best man pretending he was going to rap. All of the adorable dancing kids. The gas station socks. Galen’s sister as the best officiant ever! I am so thankful to have been a part of your day. I hope you love this little sneak, there are many more to come.
