Anchorage Winter Elopement
As a wedding photographer My. Favorite. Thing. Is when a couple plans their wedding around what makes them happy. People’s feelings shine through their faces (most of the time) and its pretty easy to tell when people are calm. For Meghan & Sam, it was important to get married outside. They decided to plan an intimate ceremony in the middle of a snowy meadow, surrounded by just their closest family and a few friends. It was pure magic to see a bride walk out of the woods and down a snowy pathway rather than an aisle. The thing I find myself saying on repeat is, your wedding can be anything that you want it to be. I feel like Meghan and Sam got that, they gave themselves permission to do something different.
After the ceremony everyone headed over to the private dining room at South Restarurant + Coffeehouse for a cozy meal together. A couple of toasts, some delicious food and drinks…it was a pretty perfect way to celebrate on a Winter afternoon.
