I must say, Alyeska Resort Weddings never disappoint…especially when half of your guests are not from Alaska! The view from the top of the tram is especially amazing (no matter what the weather is) and I absolutely love it when couples choose to have their ceremony on the Bore Tide Deck. Although Max was born and raised in Alaska this was a destination wedding in many ways. I always love seeing the guests experience the beauty of Alaska for the first time. I may have shocked the bridesmaids a little bit when – as we do in Alaska – I asked them to traverse a rocky beach in stilettos for the wedding party portraits. I promise, the backdrops are worth it! They may have thought I was a little crazy but they were amazingly good sports! I never could have done so well in those heels myself.
