I love photographing Alaska adventure weddings and elopements with my whole photographer’s heart. Every time I meet a couple and hear their story, I hear how far people will come to say their vows in stunning mountains. Shawn & Daphne came all the way from Hong Kong and got married out on a glacier near Anchorage. After the ceremony, they headed out on a two week motorcycle trip around the Alaskan road system. There is such a spirit of joy and adventure when your wedding day is an incredible, life changing experience. While saying lifelong vows to each other, you are also experiencing something new and incredible. Something magical happens on a day like this.

Shawn & Daphne’s is one of my favorite elopements from last Summer and I have been waiting to share more on the blog. (Although, if you follow me on instagram you have seen several of my favorite images already.) I loved this one so much because of a helicopter, the glaciers, and my favorite mountain pass. A gorgeous couple as well as an Alexander McQueen gown and fantastic vendors topped the day off. Not to mention, it was the most gorgeous and sunny day of the entire Summer! You guys…I wore a dress (no jacket!) out on the glacier and I wasn’t even cold. It was an idyllic day, and the only problem is that now I will compare every other day to this one!
