Something about the vows that Rose & Phill wrote for one another on their wedding day really struck a chord with me. I have thought back on them more than once since then, and in the moment they brought tears to my eyes. I’m not sure if it was just something that I personally needed to hear or if it was that they were so intentionally and beautifully written…but in any case, they were some pretty stinking amazing vows! One of the lines that stuck with me the most was something about promising to always believe that the other person has my best interest at heart. I think that sounds simple, but in practice can sometimes be a hard thing to do in marriage, at least for me. And if we could just shift our thinking enough that we always believed the best about our spouse’s intentions, that would be such a positive starting point in a marriage relationship… #goals, am I right?!
