One of the things I love most about being a wedding photographer is being invited in to people’s stories, at least for the duration of the planning process and then of course the wedding day itself…sometimes longer! After meeting with Bethany & Angelo it was clear that they were looking for someone to form a relationship with, that could become a part of such an important day in a meaningful way. That truly makes for the best kind of photos, when the bride & groom really connect with me as a person and not just a photographer.
This was my third Greek Orthodox Wedding, and again I enjoyed every minute of it – especially the wedding ceremony itself (ok, but also the dancing and the epic sweet table at the reception!). I love how meaningful the ceremony is to Bethany & Angelo and their families. Not being Greek myself, I really appreciated that Bethany took the time to describe each aspect of the ceremony in their program so that none of that symbolic beauty was lost on me!
This wedding day was truly one for the books, I am so excited to share this overview of the day…many more to come. Bethany & Angelo, I think Bali is the perfect place to spend your first couple of weeks of marriage, I hope you’re soaking it up!
