A couple of months ago when Sarah first started emailing me, we decided on a June engagement session. In case you don’t know, June in Alaska = light, almost all the live-long day. I threw out the idea of starting at 10pm…knowing full well that the light would be best then, but that it wasn’t going to work for just any couple. Starting at 10pm is just a little outside the box and not everyone is up for that. When Sarah responded YES without hesitation, I knew we were a match made in heaven. These are my people, who scramble up hills and down to the riverbank in heels at 10pm. Because its fun. And because it makes the most beautiful photos. This summer I’ll be photographing Sarah & Erick’s wedding…think small planes, 12 guests, glaciers, and catered camping. Yes, please!
Here is a little preview of my favorites from our Eagle River engagement shoot…that rainbow peeking out in the background was just the cherry on top of such a beautiful night.
