I know I say this often, but its true…I work with some of the loveliest people ever. For real. Meg and Dan are no exception! I remember meeting them at a Starbucks in Chicago last year and just thinking how sweet they were and how you could really see how much they love each other, even in a first meeting like we had! I love their story of meeting at work, and developing a relationship that started off as friends and then grew into something more…love it.
Meg grew up in Ottawa IL, and that is where the wedding was held – the Starved Rock area is such a beautiful part of the state that I haven’t been to before, so I was thrilled to drive out there to shoot their wedding. Here are some of my favorite shots from the day.
(This is another one of those weddings where it was SO hard to choose few enough favorites to make a normal-sized blog post, there were just SO many great details that I wanted to show off to you all!)
*Loved the dress!* And, it was perfect for Meg. Meg’s mom Beth – Love her too! She is so warm and welcoming, made me feel like part of her family. Not to mention, she put together the fabulous decor for this wedding AND, I’m pretty sure she was the life of the party.Oh my. I just love the moment right after the kiss! They’re married!Maybe one of my favorite-ever backdrops for group shots, luckily Meg trusted me enough to follow me into a corn field for her wedding photos!Ahhh…favorite shot of the day? And this is where I start to go crazy for the details…I love how everything is so creative but really cohesive – Meg and Beth did an awesome job! Some great ideas for those of you in the planning stages! The light was just perfect for a few more couple shots…couldn’t pass it up!Dan’s adorable niece Mara…she was the flower girl. For real, I think I might have the most fun of the day capturing moments like this on the dance floor…
…the end!
Congratulations Meg & Dan! Thanks again for being so wonderful to work with!
