John & Allegra live in California, met at school in Scotland and have travelled all over the world. I asked what made them decide on an Alaskan Honeymoon and John said that it is a place that he has always wanted to go, and from the sounds of it they came with a long list of things to do and checked off every single one! They went whale watching in Seward, dog mushing in Talkeetna and saw the Northern Lights outside of Anchorage. They saw an amazing bluebird spring day and also our last big dump of snow, which allowed for plenty of fresh powder for skiing at Alyeska. Something I love most about being a photographer in a tourist destination is that I get to meet people from everywhere, photograph them and hear their stories. This stunning, wild, remote place is an awesome place to call home and it is always fun to see it through the fresh eyes of visitors.
I will say this though, SUMMER is where its at, you guys! Come back here in June or July next time and you’ll fall in love for a whole new set of reasons.
