This wedding was truly the most stunning event I have photographed to date…simply incredible! Kelly called me about 10 months ago after seeing my work on the Bowles’ wedding last fall. At that time I had no real clue about the magnitude of this event. I was so impressed with how well Kelly pulled everything together, she did have a wonderful team of professionals to work with but she herself had the imagination, organization, and patience to pull the thousands of details (no exaggeration) together into such an amazing event! I loved Kelly’s veil – so striking. Ginger! Kelly had a custom made gown made for Ginger especially for the day…I don’t know how a dressmaker makes a gown that tiny but it was truly somethin’ else.
This church seemed straight out of Europe…Holy Family St. Ignatius. Its worth a look if you’re in the neighborhood. The reception was held at the prestigious University Club of Chicago – right across the street from Millenium Park downtown. Gorgeous venue, and perfect for Kelly and Michael’s event. Kudos must be given to Rachel Bradley for all of the work she did on Kelly’s wedding – she had her work cut out for her indeed, but pulled it off with grace and efficiency that is truly admirable.
Kelly created this concept for displaying the place cards…she wasn’t doing anything ordinary on her wedding day! Each card was hand calligraphied and hung from the candelabra with vintage crystals and orchids – it was a sight to behold.Have you ever seen a wine biker before? I hadn’t either, but it was a huge hit during the cocktail hour…so unique! In the photos to come you will see some of the amazing handiwork of Richard Remiard Event Design He truly pulled off something amazing for this wedding. When guests were walking into the ballroom for dinner, I heard no end of Ooh-ing and Ahh-ing, it was simply breathtaking. While we were at dinner he along with his crew transformed the lower level into a chic modern bar for the after party. The transformation!Live Statues…holding candles.Flag dancers…A napkin lady…when food came out later in the evening, she walked around offering people napkins…which her dress was made out of!
Rose servers…
…and Michael and Kelly danced the night away…and lived Happily Ever After.

Thanks Deborah – I’m glad you like what you see 🙂
I’m not sure where Kelly found the napkin lady, but you could contact her wedding planner…I’m sure she would know! There is a link to her website in the post.
Oh and of course your photography is amazing! I wish i would have stumbled on your site earlier 🙁
Hi! I just came across your photos and love the idea of the Napkin Lady……where do I hire such an entertainer??
I know, right?! It was unbelievable.
WOW, you were NOT kidding about this wedding! It was over-the-top spectacular!
WOW! That is some high praise…
I’m so glad that you love the photos, its much easier to get great shots when you have such awesome material to shoot!
From a friend:
Kelly,
OMG … I really missed out not being able to make it to your absolutely totally wonderful wedding. I knew it was going to be fabulous but WOW – it was way more than that. Oh and the photography … yes, the best wedding photography I have ever seen in my life and I am into photography so have looked at many photographs in my life time =- what a very talented photographer, Anyway, I can sit here and rave on for hours about your wedding. You are something else and oh so talented too. Let me know when more go up – what a hoot – the wine bicycle and the napkin lady. Love it love it love it.
I have not found anyone I can trust to look after my menagerie at this stage so although I really want to see your little Ginger model I may have to be satisfied with photographs – you may have to take your Wedding photographer along for this event too. I can’t wait to see more.
Big hugs to all of you.
