Vanessa Andres was Jamie and my wonderful wedding photographer. She is an artist, which is why I love her photography. If you visit her site, the first beautiful face that you see will be of my sister Kristen, on her wedding day.
I can’t believe that Jamie and I have been married for 2 whole years! The time has flown by. When I think about it 2 years is really not that long but it is still significant for us. The other day when I was shooting a wedding they had a generations dance, and at the end of the dance there were 4 couples on the dance floor who had been married more than 60 years! 60 years! Isn’t that amazing?! I hope that Jamie and I will be dancing at a wedding together 60 years from now.I love this one of me and my dad.Trying not to cry!

Jamie still brings me a little glass of Orange Juice almost every morning (I kind of need it, I’m a bit of a grump in the morning) – one day he picked me up and there was a box on the seat of the car…with a dress from Anthropologie (my favorite!) inside – right size, perfect dress! When Chicago Social Brides published some of my photos he took me to celebrate and drove around the city looking for a copy of the magazine. This year on our anniversary he bought me some belgian chocolates in a little gold box just like the ones we had on our honeymoon in Belgium. His thoughtfulness often amazes me, and I think it is really invaluable in our relationship. I am so lucky to have a man like him as my husband.

Our two years have been wonderful, and I am truly amazed by the truth of knowing that your love for someone grows deeper and more full with time…I kind of thought that I was as ‘in love’ as I could possibly be on my wedding day but today I can say that I was wrong!

We got married in White Rock, British Columbia – I grew up around there. We’re planning a trip up to AK for 2 weeks at Christmas, I’d love to do some photos while we’re there, so definitely let me know if you’re interested!
