When Joey, Karen & I were driving towards the beach at about 4:45am a couple of weekends ago, I realized that this would be the first sunrise that I had ever intentionally been up for! As in, not when I was awake for early travel or because I couldn’t sleep. I feel like that’s kind of lame, but I sure am glad I have now experienced a sunrise, and a beautiful one at that.
I was so glad to have the opportunity to photograph these two friends of mine, and celebrate their new marriage! Joey & Karen were married just three weeks before this session and I think that there is something so sweet about that newness. This is the first time I’ve ever photographed a newlywed couple and I hope it will not be the last.
