One of the best things about my job is developing relationships with the brides and grooms that I work with. It is more than just wedding photography for me. I spend a year or so in contact with them during wedding planning, and then get a pretty intimate view of the most important day of their lives on the wedding day. Sometimes, I later have the privilege of meeting and photographing their children, and that is really special to me. Last weekend in Chicago I got to go and meet 3 month old Natalie, daughter of Joel & Kristen whose wedding I photographed a couple of summers ago. I was again reminded of how unique this job is and how awesome my couples are…I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
