Corey & Amanda are both in the military, which is why they decided to have their intimate Winter wedding at JBER. I’m not sure what everyone else’s experience of JBER is, but to me it is largely a mystery! I have been on base a couple of times and each time it feels a little bit like I’m being caught somewhere that I’m not supposed to be. I’m honestly not sure why that is, especially since you have to have permission to enter (they even took my picture…) This was by far the longest amount of time that I had spent on a military base and something that struck me was how pretty it is. Some of the best views in Anchorage are seen from the base, and there were several cozy little chalets and log cabins (on beautiful lakes) that are available to the people who live there.
My favorite part of the day was walking around in the woods and on the frozen lake with Corey & Amanda. It became clear so quickly that these two are complete and total softies when it comes to each other and their closest family and friends. I was quickly smitten with them both.
