When I’m driving around Anchorage I often remind myself…”soak up the beauty…don’t ever let yourself get numb to it.” Or something along those lines. I’m always pointing out the beauty when I drive around with my kids because I don’t want any of us to take it for granted. But the truth is that I don’t have to try to remember. Most of the time the beauty of the places I see every day hits me in the face and I’m overwhelmed by it. We don’t have to go very far to be in the middle of breath taking beauty, and it. is. amazing. This Anchorage winter engagement session with my friends Colin & Michelle happened to be on the perfect day for Alaska to show off, and I just had to share more. We met up on the south side of Anchorage and went for a little drive along the Turnagain Arm. We stopped wherever it looked good (which was everywhere.) I could have kept on going for hours, but I’ve also learned that sometimes its good to quit while you’re ahead and people are still having a good time!
