While we were walking in the mud along the Turnagain Arm Lauren told me that she chose an inexpensive wedding dress because her priority was to spend money on the experiences rather than the things. Smart woman, if you ask me.
It is the *most* fun when people choose Alaska for their destination weddings. Trust me. The main reason why it is so awesome is because you can’t really comprehend the scale of things up here until you experience it for yourself. So often people who come here for a wedding are seeing it for the first time. The adventure and experience of that is so much more memorable than a typical wedding day. Lauren & Kevin shared their intimate Alaska Destination Wedding with guests who mainly came from the East Coast (and Denver) Watching everyone walk through the soft ice on Portage Like for the wedding ceremony and later take in the beauty at the top of Alyeska was priceless.
