One of my favorite things about photographing weddings around the state is seeing familiar areas with fresh eyes. Seward is one of the places that I have gone at least once a year since coming to Alaska 10 years ago. I’ve gone for the Fourth of July several times, gone camping many times, hiked lost lake and photographed a few engagement sessions there. Chris & Malia’s day was the first time I got to go there for a wedding and I took the opportunity to scout a few gorgeous new locations and fall in love with Seward all over again. I also took the opportunity to stop in to the Salmon Sisters‘ shop and buy a few things…but that is a story for another time! Seward Wedding PhotographerÂ
I loved being a part of such an intimate celebration as this. Chris & Malia brought together a group of their nearest and dearest from FAR away and it felt like one big family party!
(Thanks to Zudy’s Cafe and Resurrection Lodge in Seward for being an awesome team of local vendors!)
