Its sort of surreal to think about tomorrow, because tomorrow is my last wedding of 2010 – number 43. Yes, thats right…tomorrow will bring the count to 43 weddings this year. Unbelievable. Truly.
If you had asked me a few years ago if I thought that this seed of an idea that I might be a wedding photographer would turn into a growing business of 43 weddings by 2010 I would have called ya crazy. It feels like a gift and something that I should hold on to real tight because its almost too good to be true.
I love this work. Its hard work and long hours but so gratifying to be building something that I’m excited about! I love the flexibility of my schedule…how sometimes I can work from home in sweats and have lunch with Jamie, and then other times I get to get all dressed up and go to weddings. I love the constant challenge to become better, learn more, and keep evolving as an artist. I love meeting my couples and seeing the bride get all excited when she tells me about details about her wedding day.
This year, I’m Thankful for 43 weddings and the chance to work at what I love.
For 43…I’m Thankful.
