For a few months now I’ve been meaning to do a post on the gorgeous wedding books I recently began to offer through Leather Craftsmen. These books are beautifully hand crafted works of art, which is exactly the kind of heirloom piece I wanted to provide for my couples. I knew Leather Craftsmen was the right company when I immediately wanted one of these for our own wedding photos! I love hearing the ‘oohs and ahhs’ when I bring out my samples during client meetings. The album above is covered in black leather with silver gilding. Below I chose indigo and ivory Japanese book cloth with copper gilding for my sample album, and I think it is just beautiful. One of the best things about these albums is how perfectly the color is processed by the Leather Craftsmen printers. The images look exactly as they should, and that is one of the most important features for me.Last thing I’ll say: A full spread image is striking, and I love how there isn’t really an interruption at all at the spine of the book, because they lie perfectly flat.
These albums are included in some of my wedding packages, and there are endless options for parent albums, engagement albums and/or guestbook albums as well…I’ve even had a few couples come back to me on their one year anniversary to order an album as their gift to each other (awesome idea!).

PS I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend! I had family in town and it was lovely : )

Nice to meet you, Britton…thanks for commenting! It would be great to meet up sometime, I go to the Chicago PUG user group (you can find them on facebook if you’re interested) once in a while, which is a great place to meet other photographers from the city.

  3. Hey Erica,

I just discovered you as a fellow Chicago area photographer on Love Oli. I’m excited to meet you there and checking out your blog is awesome! I love it! Not to mention, you have a great name! My fiance’s name is Erika. Spelled a little different than yours… but that’s cool. I happen to think it’s a beautiful name. Anyways, I’m not here to start talking about my fiance. LOL. I love this album! It’s beautiful! Keep up the beautiful work and I hope to meet up with you sometime!
