I can. not. believe that I am typing a post like this.  Summer! Just stay a little longer, please?
Clearly I haven’t been great about updating the blog with all of the Summer adventures that have been happening (good thing we have instagram and facebook!). I always have good intentions of blogging more but Summer does this crazy thing where time just sort of speeds up…and then I forget to blog. I thought I’d just share a few phone shots from this season…
Sometimes brief moments captured on instagram make things seem perfect or idyllic, which isn’t true by any stretch…I don’t want it to seem like I’m trying to pretend that every aspect of our life is perfect. BUT even in the midst of all of our busy-ness this Summer, even though there were days and weeks that Jamie and I looked at each other and said “We made it through.” (and just ‘making it’ felt good enough) there were also countless times when it was clear to me that we are blessed beyond measure. I am so thankful for this life we have!
1. I travelled to Chicago. A lot! (I still shoot many weddings there each season, and try to soak up as many of my favorite aspects of city life as I can in the process!)
2. Jamie & I took Levi to Unalakleet for the first time where we worked at camp for a week. He loved it!
3. Jamie is now a farmer, or we got backyard chickens…they haven’t started laying eggs yet but they’ve grown monstrous in size so they better start soon.
4. Driving, and traveling, and sleeping wherever he landed. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Levi is an angel-baby.
5. I caught the biggest halibut, had to document it.
6. Levi takes Chicago.
7. My first hair color experience…I’ll just admit it, it hasn’t looked this good since : )
8. Jamie and I celebrated 5 years of marriage on July 12th…and bought each other matching cards?! We’ll celebrate some more with a trip to Costa Rica in December!
9. We spent a couple of nights at an incredible lodge in the Wrangell Mountains. The most rejuvenating 2 days of my Summer, hands down.
10. The month of August was spent in BC, Washington and Oregon shooting weddings and visiting family. Beautiful, as always!
11. The puppy, Papa and Gaba (grandma) were pretty special to him by the end of the month.
12. This view. Not uncommon for me.
