We just got back from another incredible trip to Hawaii. I am forever thankful that we get to go there with Jamie’s family once a year, it really makes the dark Alaskan winter seem like a piece of cake.
One of the highlights for me was going parasailing for the first time, we sailed up to 1200 feet and it was a pretty incredible feeling. If you know me you know that I don’t really like heights, but I decided to do it anyway. My thought is, there is no point in not doing things because I feel afraid or unsure. Actually, I’ve been lately feeling like I need to do more things outside of my comfort zone because that is how life stays interesting. (Something like parasailing or rafting in class 4 rapids, or even something like taking a zumba class even though the thought of other people watching you try to dance puts the FEAR in you!) Besides, once you start doing things that scare you, you start to realize that there was actually nothing to be afraid of.
