A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of working with Erin of Blomma Designs on an at-home styled shoot. Erin is a designer and a planner and I’m always excited to hear when we’re working a wedding together. She can take anything and make it beautiful in an unexpected way.
A little over a year ago my husband Jamie built me this incredibly beautiful table as a birthday gift. We have had so many meals around this table but I’ve never really taken the time to set a beautiful table for a real dinner party. It just seems like such a time consuming task, and maybe more trouble than its worth…even though I *love* beautiful things. It was inspiring to watch Erin work and realize that I need to just DO THIS more. Its not as hard as you think {candles, greenery and fruit go a long way} and the end result is so worth it. You can check out Erin’s blog for a little more in depth How-To on this! There is something special about sitting down to eat a meal with the people you love – especially for a Holiday. I think that taking time to make the table beautiful is just one way you can show love to the people sitting around it.
